Bornhorst + Ward is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our dynamic design team in Brisbane and work on a wide variety of exciting projects.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years' experience in structural engineering design and be adept at working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake structural analysis and design for a wide variety of building structures and infrastructure projects.
Prepare and review engineering drawings, models, and documentation.
Collaborate with internal design and drafting teams to deliver practical, buildable solutions.
Liaise with clients, architects, and consultants to ensure alignment throughout the design process.
Attend design meetings and conduct occasional site inspections.

Key Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years' experience in structural engineering design with hands on experience with design of steel and concrete structures.
A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Have obtained, or is actively working towards RPEQ.
Technical Skills
Proficient in structural analysis and design software such as SpaceGASS, RAPT, RAM Concept, ETABS, or Inducta.
Working knowledge of Australian Standards and local industry practices.
Strong grasp of concrete and steel design fundamentals.
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Proficient in tools such as Bluebeam, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
Passionate about engineering, with a desire to grow professionally and contribute to team success.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a design team,



communicate seamlessly with our drafting team, and maintain productive client relationships.
