You'll manage a portfolio of commercial accounts requiring a more specialised recoveries approach, including debts that have progressed through late-stage collections and into write-off.This isn't simply about making calls.
It's about understanding each account,



identifying recovery opportunities and determining the most effective way forward.Your responsibilities will include:Managing a portfolio of complex commercial recoveries accounts from investigation through to resolutionWorking with written-off accounts to identify opportunities for recoveryNegotiating payment arrangements, settlements and commercially appropriate outcomesConducting skip tracing and investigations to locate customers and establish contactHandling challenging conversations with customers and negotiating practical solutionsAssessing financial circumstances and identifying appropriate recovery strategiesLiaising with solicitors, field agents and external recovery partnersSupporting litigation and legal recovery processes where requiredAssessing the commercial viability of recovery action and recommending next stepsWorking towards individual recovery targets and KPIsMaintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirementsWhat Are We Looking For?
We're looking for someone who brings hands-on collections or recoveries experience, strong commercial judgement and the confidence to manage complex accounts independently.You'll ideally have:Proven experience in late-stage collections, recoveries or post-write-off debt recoveryExperience managing your own portfolio and delivering measurable recovery resultsStrong negotiation skills, including payment arrangements and settlementsConfidence handling difficult conversations and re-engaging customersExperience with skip tracing, investigations or locating difficult-to-contact customersUnderstanding of litigation, legal escalation or external recovery processesA commercially minded approach to determining the best recovery strategyStrong organisation, attention to detail and ability to prioritise competing accountsExperience working towards individual financial recovery targetsA resilient,



persistent and solutions-focused attitudeStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholdersExperience in commercial lending, SME finance or legal recoveries will be highly regarded.
