Hallam | Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pmHorner is seeking an experienced Timber CNC Machinist to join a well established manufacturer of acoustic timber products used in the construction industry.Work in a clean, modern facility with quality equipment, strong safety standards and a team that values reliability, precision and craftsmanship.What's on Offer$***** per hourCasual position with a genuine temp to perm opportunityMonday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pmModern, clean and well equipped facilitySupportive team and on the job trainingAbout the RoleYou'll be responsible for operating and setting up CNC machinery to manufacture precision timber components, ensuring production targets, product specifications and quality standards are consistently met.Key responsibilities include:Set up, program and operate CNC routers and woodworking machineryInterpret technical drawings, plans and production specificationsSelect appropriate tooling, cutting speeds and machining settingsLoad materials, secure workpieces and monitor machining operationsAdjust machine settings and programs to achieve accurate cuts and finishesPerform quality checks and measurements to ensure components meet specificationsIdentify machining issues,



troubleshoot faults and report equipment problemsComplete routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenanceMonitor material usage, minimise waste and maintain productive production flowWhat We're Looking For2-3 years' CNC machining experience, preferably in timber manufacturingExperience programming and operating CNC routers; Heian CNC Router experience highly regardedAbility to read technical drawings and interpret measurements accuratelyStrong knowledge of tooling, machine setup and machining processesExperience with woodworking machinery and timber component assemblyAbility to work to production targets while maintaining high standardsReliable, safety conscious and committed to consistent attendanceGood English literacy and numeracy skillsAt Horner we recognise the value of a diverse workforce and the creation of inclusive workforce cultures.
