Millwright
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
An electrical qualification with a minimum of N3 and a wireman's license - 3-5 yrs experience
Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the company standards for medical fitness
Must have sound knowledge and understanding of the mining setting
Must have a good understanding of the legal aspects pertaining to the quarry
Computer literate
Valid driver's license
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Planning and decision-making skills
The ability to work as part of a team but also without supervision.
Must have the ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven
Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
Executing daily electrical maintenance (PM maintenance scheduling and ensuring all electrical equipment operates to required OEE's)
Installing, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical systems, machinery and equipment




Identifying causes of electrical dysfunctions and repairing
Compliance with all electrical work to SANS****
Devising and implementing electrical maintenance plans
Complete required legal inspections and maintain the required SHE system
Be able to read and interpret all electrical drawings
Install, align and dismantle heavy industrial machinery and equipmen
Inspect and maintain mechanical systems, including pumps, conveyors, bearings and hydraulics systems
Conduct trouble shooting and root cause analysis on mechanical breakdowns
Ensure proper lubrication, alignment and balance of machinery to prevent wear and tear.
Read and interpret technical drawings
Adherence to the Mine Health and Safety Act
The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
