RM/RN (Dual) - Gladstone Hospital - Maternity / Birth Suite
Gladstone Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Midwives to join the Maternity and Birth Suite team on a contract basis, starting as soon as possible through to 18 November ****.
This is an chance to work in a dynamic maternity environment where you'll support women and families across the full spectrum of care—from antenatal through to postnatal and birth suite management.
The role includes on-call duties and requires flexibility with shift patterns, including an 8-hour break agreement.
Comprehensive maternity care across antenatal, postnatal, and birth suite settings
On-call roster with structured shift breaks and clear expectations
Contract position through November ****, based at Gladstone Hospital, Queensland
Preferred Requirements




Demonstrated experience in maternity, antenatal, and postnatal care delivery
Proven competence in birth suite management and labour support
Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation certification or equivalent
Ability to work flexibly within a rotating on-call roster
Strong communication and collaborative practice skills within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
Dual qualification (Registered Midwife and Registered Nurse) highly valued
Post-graduate qualification or specialist experience in midwifery or women's health
