Char Grill Chef, Grill Experience | $100K Package + Benefits
You will run our char grill station through busy lunch and dinner services, cooking premium steaks, chops, boerewors and specialty cuts to perfection, every time. You know your temperatures, your resting times and how to read a grill under pressure, and you take pride in sending out a plate that is cooked exactly as the guest ordered.
Key responsibilities
Run the char grill station through busy lunch and dinner services
Cook premium steaks, chops, boerewors and specialty cuts to perfection
Maintain expert knowledge of steak cuts, doneness and resting
Stay calm, consistent and fast during peak service
Work well with the kitchen brigade and front of house
Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and station organisation
Work a 7 day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
About you
Proven experience on a char grill in a high volume, premium venue




Strong background in an African or South African grilling environment, including braai style cooking
Expert knowledge of steak cuts, doneness and resting
Ability to stay calm, consistent and rapid during peak service
A team player who works well with the kitchen brigade and front of house
High standards of food safety, cleanliness and station organisation
Flexibility to work a 7 day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
