Are you looking for a role where you can combine strong judgement, relationshipbuilding and practical problem-solving to support people with immediate and longerterm housing needs? As a Pathways Officer with Housing Outreach Mobile Engagement (HOME), you will help provide coordinated multi-agency assistance to individuals and families experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
This is a permanent versatile full-time opportunity based in Ipswich within Housing and Homelessness Services. The role contributes to the department's work delivering housing assistance and homelessness support services that make a real difference to Queenslanders.
In this role, you will:
assess and respond to customer needs, including immediate and longer-term housing needs, and help customers understand the assistance options available to them
work with place-based stakeholders to support people experiencing homelessness to access suitable housing options and relevant support services
build and maintain productive networks with community organisations, support agencies, temporary accommodation providers,



local government and other government partners
contribute to local initiatives that strengthen service connections and improve coordinated responses
provide advice to regional management and key stakeholders on issues affecting housing and homelessness service outcomes
