We have an exciting opportunity for a
Team Leader
NRM
to join our Vegetation Operations Team. Our Natural ResourcesTeam is committed to protecting, restoring and enhancing the ecological healthof our region, from the hinterland to the coastline.
As a
Team Leader
NRM
you will manage the invasive weeds team on-ground service delivery and to provide expertenvironmental advice and service to internal and external stakeholders.
On a typical day our Team Leader NRM will:
Lead Natural Resource Management Officers in thedelivery of monthly and annual operational works programs in consultationwith relevant stakeholders.
Supervise day to day activities of the NRM FieldOfficers.
Lead the inspection, identification andmanagement of priority weeds on Council-owned and managed lands in accordancewith the Biosecurity Act **** and relevant
Regional Strategic Weed Management Plans.
Provide expert advice to external and internalcustomers.
Collaborate with staff to deliver weedmanagement programs.
Foster a collaborative and high performing workenvironment through knowledge sharing, staff development and continuousimprovement.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordancewith WHS and the other relevant legislation and council policies, proceduresand industry standards and guidelines.
Report hazards, incidents and injuries usingcorporate systems and in accordance with Council requirements.
Identify and arrange safety and trainingrequirements for direct reports
To be successful in this role you will have:
Certificate III in Conservation and EcosystemManagement or a minimum of three years relevant industry experience and ademonstrated commitment to obtaining the qualification.
Traffic Guidance Officer certificate.
Current chemical accreditation AQF3 equivalentor higher.




Demonstrated recent experience in theidentification and control of invasive weeds and native plants common to NSW.
Current class 1C driver's licence.
Competent in use of Microsoft office software
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment type: Permanent, full time role (38 hours perweek with 9-day fortnight)
Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $80,****** to $90,****** depending on skills and experience + AdverseWorking Conditions 1 allowance + Tool of Trade Vehicle
