We're looking for a
Contracts Administrator
to help keep our projects commercially strong by managing procurement, contracts and project administration that supports successful delivery from start to finish.
The role
At Unita, Contracts Administrators are trusted commercial partners to our Project Managers and delivery teams.
You'll help manage procurement, contracts, claims, variations and commercial processes that protect project performance and support successful delivery.
You'll be trusted to own the detail, maintain strong commercial discipline and identify risks early, helping protect margin, strengthen project outcomes and keep projects moving forward.
What great looks like
Contracts, claims and variations are managed proactively, protecting Unita's contractual position and minimising commercial exposure
Subcontractor procurement is thorough, compliant and commercially aligned
Head contract obligations are clearly understood, tracked and actioned




Progress claims and variation registers are clean, up to date and defensible
Commercial risks, scope gaps and cost impacts are identified early, allowing the project team to take action before they affect margin or delivery
Documentation is organised, audit-ready and easy for others to rely on
Subcontractors experience professional, clear and timely communication
Projects close out cleanly, including Deeds of Release, final accounts and retentions
Who this role suits
This role suits an experienced Contracts Administrator who understands that strong project outcomes are built on solid commercial foundations.
You're commercially minded, highly organised and proactive, with the ability to balance competing priorities while protecting the project's commercial and contractual position.
Detail-oriented and structured, with strong documentation habits and attention to detail
Commercially competent, with a solid understanding of how contracts, procurement, claims and variations impact project performance
Proactive and accountable, identifying risks early rather than waiting for issues to escalation
Clear and professional in your communication with subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Resilient under pressure,



able to manage multiple projects and deadlines without losing accuracy
Naturally aligned to the Unita Way – you take responsibility, work well with others, and look for better ways of doing things
Experience we're looking for
Experience in contract administration within commercial construction or fitout environments
Solid understanding of head contract and subcontract management processes
Experience supporting procurement, progress claims, variations and cost tracking throughout project delivery
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects
A relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Contract Law, Commerce or a similar field is desirable
A current driver's licence
