Mechanical Site Engineer (Contract) - Major Infrastructure Project
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Site Engineer to join an established site team for the close-out phase of a major infrastructure project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile build while gaining valuable experience with a Tier 1 contractor.
About the Role
This is a 2-3 month contract position focused on the final stages of project delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring successful completion, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems while working closely with a well-established and experienced project team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day project engineering activities on site
Coordinate mechanical works to ensure timely and compliant project close-out
Support commissioning, defect resolution, and handover processes
Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Monitor progress,



quality, and safety outcomes
Assist with documentation, reporting, and final project deliverables
About You
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
1-3 years' experience in construction project engineering roles
Experience on commercial building and/or major infrastructure or tunnelling projects preferred
Strong communication and coordination skills
Ability to work effectively within an established site team in a rapid-paced environment
