As a Senior Advisor, you'll see your clients and case files through from the first conversation to resolution. At its heart, this role is about people, not numbers, tax or debt. It's senior because of the judgement and ownership it asks of you, not because you need to have done this work before.
Whatever your background, you can keep the skills you've built and leave the grind behind. At Tax Assure, you use your commercial acumen and communication skills in a workplace that's balanced and built around the team and the outcomes.
Maybe you're a lawyer who's had enough of high-pressure deadlines. Maybe you're an accountant who wants more conversation and less compliance. Or you've worked in insurance claims, banking or collections, and you already know how to sit across from someone on a bad day.
You won't be doing this on your own. You'll work in the office alongside our directors, in an advisory team that deals with people face to face. We'll fast-track you to specialist negotiator and walk you through the legal practice statements and negotiation strategies. From day one, experienced people are in the room with you for the real conversations.
Day to day
Run client consultations and build rapport through genuine empathy, not a script
Develop and carry out a negotiation strategy for each client, case by case




Manage each case from first consultation to resolution, including drafting applications to the ATO, with documentation gathered, reviewed and submitted on time
Keep clients informed, so they feel supported rather than left guessing
Stay across ATO guidelines and company policy, and keep every file compliant
Keep accurate records and report clearly to management on where each case stands
About you
A genuine track record in negotiation, and the confidence to hold your own in a difficult conversation
Strong written communication and drafting: applications and correspondence that are clear, accurate and hold up under scrutiny
Solid verbal communication: you can explain things plainly to someone who's stressed
Real attention to detail, because the documentation has to be right, not just eventually correct
Sound commercial judgement, and calm under pressure
Self-driven: you take a case file and move it forward
Experience in claims, disputes, collections, customer service, financial services or tax is welcome, particularly where you've negotiated or mediated
A degree and a demonstrated record of professional development
Able to work from our Milsons Point office 3 days a week (hybrid, with 2 days working from home)
