We're looking for a motivated
Gardener
to join our team and help maintain and enhance the parks, gardens, reserves, and open spaces enjoyed by our community.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, working outdoors, and being part of a team that takes pride in delivering attractive, safe and welcoming public spaces.
What you'll be doing
As part of our Parks & Gardens team, you'll contribute to the day-to-day presentation and maintenance of our outdoor spaces.
Your work may include:
Maintaining parks, gardens, reserves and other public open spaces
Mowing, brush cutting, edging and general grounds maintenance
Planting, pruning, mulching and maintaining trees, shrubs and garden beds
Weed control and general horticultural activities
Operating and maintaining relevant plant, machinery and equipment
Assisting with the establishment and improvement of landscaped areas
Supporting seasonal and programmed maintenance activities
Working safely and efficiently as part of a practical, collaborative team.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in and takes genuine pride in their work.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Experience in parks, gardens, horticulture, landscaping,



grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor environment
Practical skills and confidence using relevant tools, plant and equipment
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a positive, can-do approach
A current Victorian Driver Licence
Relevant horticultural qualifications, licences or tickets would be highly regarded.
This position will be required to work at Dunkeld and Glenthompson.
