Registered Nurse Immuniser- Corporate Flu in Syd Metro and NSW Regional Areas
Registered Nurse Immuniser - Corporate Flu ****
Join Australian Vaccine Services (AVS) as a Nurse Immuniser this flu season, with adaptable casual hours from March to June ****. AVS is a national provider of workplace immunisation programs, and each autumn our nurses travel across Australia to help keep workplaces healthy, running onsite clinics everywhere from city offices to regional depots. You'll be part of a supportive team that makes it easy for people to protect themselves and their colleagues from the flu.
Season:
Mid-March – Mid-June ****
Locations:
SYDNEY/ NSW Regional locations
Your day, on the move;
We plan your schedule. You pack your Esky from your AVS-supplied home vaccine fridge, head to your first client site and set up. You'll welcome a steady stream of employees, many grateful it's quick and easy, before moving on to the next workplace. Finish your e-records (within 24 hours of each clinic) and you're done.
What you'll love
A competitive hourly rate, plus cold-chain and mileage allowances
Everything supplied: a purpose-built vaccine fridge for your home, Esky, anaphylaxis kits and all clinic equipment
Our system reports every vaccination to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) for you, so there's no double entry
Use your own tablet, or one of ours
Independence onsite, with our Clinical Head Office team a call away

Flexible seasonal work: ***** hours a week (minimum 2–3 days a week), from mid-March to mid-June ****
Schedules planned for you, with clinics clustered to reduce travel
Guaranteed weekly hours available for nurses with full availability (ask us at interview)
A paid pre-season induction in February–March **** for new AVS nurses, so you start the season confident
What you will bring
Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
A recognised Nurse Immuniser qualification and authorisation to vaccinate in your state or territory
Current CPR and anaphylaxis management competencies, renewed annually
A National Police Check and unrestricted Australian work rights
A full driver licence and a reliable, registered and insured vehicle
Space at home for an AVS-supplied vaccine fridge (alternative vaccine collection may be available in some locations)
Confidence with cold chain management: monitoring your fridge and esky, recording temperatures and submitting weekly records in line with Strive for 5
The ability to manage a clinic on your own in line with the Australian Immunisation Handbook, from set-up and consent to vaccinating, managing adverse events and packing down
Confident computer skills for e-records and scheduling
Interviews will run on a rolling basis, so apply early.
