LifeSpace Furniture, operated by Australian Furniture Group Pty Ltd, is a growing furniture retailer based in Underwood, Brisbane. We sell new and pre-loved furniture, helping customers create a home they love at an affordable price.
We're looking for a reliable, proactive person to join our team and help clean, repair and prepare furniture for sale and delivery.
About the role
This is a practical, hands-on role involving sofa cleaning, furniture repairs, assembly and furniture handling. You'll work with a variety of items, including upholstered sofas, timber furniture, tables, chairs and beds.
No previous experience or trade qualification is required. Training will be provided.
What matters most is a willingness to learn, a practical approach and the ability to take initiative and get things done.
Once trained, you should be comfortable organising your tasks and working independently, with support available when needed.
This is a part-time position with ongoing work and opportunities to move into a full-time role.
What you'll be doing
Cleaning sofas and upholstery using skilled extraction machines.
Cleaning and preparing timber furniture and other items for sale.
Carrying out minor furniture repairs, touch-ups and adjustments, including work on timber and upholstered items.
Assembling and disassembling beds, tables, chairs and other furniture.
Checking furniture for cleanliness, condition and repair needs.
Helping load and unload furniture for deliveries, collections and customer pickups.
Moving and arranging furniture within the showroom and storage areas.
Keeping your work area, tools and cleaning equipment clean and organised.
The role involves standing, bending, lifting and moving furniture. Appropriate equipment, safe handling guidance and team assistance are provided.
Who we're looking for




You don't need to be an experienced furniture repairer. We're looking for someone who:
Is reliable, punctual and ready to get involved.
Works efficiently while taking care and paying attention to detail.
Takes initiative and notices what needs doing.
Can follow instructions and work independently once trained.
Enjoys practical work and learning how to clean, fix and assemble things.
Is comfortable with the physical nature of the role and follows safe handling procedures.
Works well with others and helps the team when needed.
Experience with cleaning, basic tools, furniture repairs, assembly or warehouse work is welcome, but
not essential

4–5 days per week
, with an additional sixth day available by agreement when needed.
