This established international property development and construction group has a solid presence across Australia, delivering major residential, commercial, hotel, and mixed-use developments.
With a portfolio of complex construction projects and a focus on delivering high-quality developments, they are now looking to appoint a Design Coordinator / Senior Project Engineer to support multiple projects in Brisbane's CBD.
The Role
In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, consultants, and construction teams to coordinate the design and technical requirements of major building projects.
You'll act as a key link between the design consultants and site delivery teams, ensuring drawings, specifications, design changes, and technical information are coordinated effectively to support construction progress.
This is an excellent prospect for an experienced Project Engineer or Project Coordinator who has been involved in design coordination and wants to move into a more specialised role.
You'll be involved across multiple projects, supporting design reviews, consultant coordination, technical queries, procurement,



and design compliance while ensuring construction teams have the information required to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Duties:
Coordinate design activities across major commercial, residential, and mixed-use construction projects
Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams
Review construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Manage design queries, discrepancies, and coordination issues between disciplines
Support design changes, approvals, and document control processes
Identify design risks, resolve technical issues, and support value engineering initiatives
Requirements:
Experience as a Project Engineer, Design Coordinator, Project Coordinator, or similar within construction
Background working on medium to high-rise residential, commercial, hotel, or mixed-use developments
Understanding of construction design processes, technical documentation, and consultant coordination
Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and building services drawings
Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or similar
Opportunity to transition from Project Engineering into Design Coordination
