The JBS Townsville Kitchen team are currently recruiting several new full-time Catering Assistants to support our busy staff cafeteria team. Reporting to the Catering Manager, our Catering Assistants deliver exceptional hospitality and customer service to our 400+ strong workforce.
Full-time; Monday to Friday only; no weekend work!
Starting at $***** per hour + Super + Overtime (where possible)
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of meals
Receival and storage of stock
Cleaning the food preparation areas, cooking equipment and utensils
Ensuring the dining room is clean, tidy and presentable at all times
Assisting with preparation for special events including morning teas, fundraising events, guest visitors and senior/executive meetings
About You
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment advantageous
Excellent customer service skills and a desire to always go above and beyond
Ability and willingness to take direction from others
Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
Ability to work across a variety of shifts including late nights and early mornings. No weekend work!
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Great time management skills and the ability to work effectively well under pressure
