We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join a well-established and growing public practice accounting firm in Brisbane.

n Key Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
n
Manage a portfolio of business clients, providing ongoing accounting, taxation and business advisory support.
n
Prepare and review BAS, IAS and other statutory compliance obligations.
n
Provide tax planning advice and identify opportunities to improve clients' financial and business performance.
n
Assist clients with business structuring, tax compliance and general accounting enquiries.
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact.
n
Liaise directly with managers and partners on complex accounting and taxation matters.
n
Mentor and support junior accountants, including reviewing their work and providing technical guidance.
n
Ensure all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
n




Stay up to date with Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards.
n
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:n
n
n
A minimum of 3–5 years' experience in Australian public practice accounting.
n
CA or CPA qualification, or be working towards completion.
n
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements.
n
Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for various business structures.
n
Proficiency in Xero, MYOB and Microsoft Office.
n
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
n
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
n
A proactive, positive attitude and a genuine interest in helping clients achieve their business goals.
n
Experience mentoring junior accountants will be highly regarded.
