Role Description
This is a full time, on-site Carpenter role based in Brisbane, QLD. The Carpenter will work on Passive House projects, including custom builds, renovations, and TZO Homes, focusing on precise framing, structural work, and high-quality finishes. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting plans, setting out structures, installing framing and insulation,



and completing interior and exterior finish carpentry. The role involves safe and efficient use of hand tools and power tools, collaborating with site supervisors and other trades, and maintaining high standards of craftsmanship, safety, and cleanliness on site. The Carpenter will contribute to energy-efficient, low-carbon builds and uphold TZO's commitment to integrity, transparency, and long-term performance.
Qualifications
Strong carpentry skills, including structural work and general construction carpentry
Proficiency with hand tools and safe, effective use of power tools
Experience in framing, including walls, roofs, and other structural elements
Capability in finish carpentry, including detailed interior and exterior finishes
Understanding of energy-efficient or Passive House building principles is highly regarded
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Commitment to workplace safety, quality control, and site cleanliness
Reliable, team-oriented approach with good communication skills
AUD $45–$50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
