About the role
Our automotive service centre is in need ofa reliable Automotive Mechanicto join our team. We operate one of the latest and most efficient repair shops in the city, and we require excellence fromour devoted team members.
Each Automotive Mechanicmust be currently licensed and have the experience necessary to provide our customers with reliable and best service.
Our customers drive private or commercial sedans, sport utility vehicles (SUV), passenger vans, UTEs,4WDs and coupes.
We alsoaccept contract work for fleet and valet cars, so knowledge of a wide variety of vehicleswill be an advantage in this position.

Skills and experience
Qualified Automotive Mechanic - Certificate III or higherin Light Mechanical
Valid Unrestricted Current Driver's Licence required
Must be honest, reliable and hard working
Possess a high attention to detail and a can do attitude
Able to work with a team
Able to maintainvehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints, conducting inspections, repair mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions,replace parts and components
Strong communication skills - written and in person
Maintain and clean the work workplace to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
Willingness to participate in company directed training
Ability to operate all vehicle repair tools
Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment is a must
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
Maintainvehicle records by recording service and repairs
Able to check vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems
