Sante Medical is seeking a dedicated
Medical Receptionist
to join our team in Paddington, QLD. This permanent
part-time position
(4-5 days per week) is crucial to creating a welcoming, efficient experience for our patients while supporting the smooth operation of our medical practice.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will be instrumental in ensuring exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality in a healthcare environment.
Key responsibilities
Greeting patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
Managing patient check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying personal and insurance information
Scheduling and confirming patient appointments using medical practice management software
Answering telephones professionally
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
Processing patient payments and handling cash, card and health insurance transactions
Preparing patient files and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete before consultations
Supporting clinical staff by restocking supplies and maintaining a clean and organised reception area
Following all health and safety protocols and infection control procedures
Resolving patient enquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism
What we're looking for
Proven experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare administrative role
Robust organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach




Proficiency in using medical practice management software and general computer applications
Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of healthcare administration practices
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
A calm and professional demeanour, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing patient records and administrative tasks
Vaccination requirements or exemptions as per current healthcare facility standards
A caring attitude and genuine commitment to supporting patient wellbeing
