There is now an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join the Assembly team on a permanent full-time basis.
The Mechanical Fitter plays a key role in the efficient assembly of RME-manufactured equipment to a high standard of workmanship and safety.
The Mechanical Fitter must have a genuine interest in assembling high-quality, high-performance, special machines. RME's 'special machines' may be any combination of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems, including powerful robotic devices.

What are we looking for?
REQUIRED
Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent trade certificate in a relevant industry (e.g. Motor Mechanic, Diesel Fitter)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, or a willingness to develop this skill with guidance and training.
Basic IT skills, including MS Office Suite.
Excellent attention to detail.
Demonstrated organisation and time management skills.
Ability to approach situations with a positive, can-do attitude.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Commitment to Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Proactive approach to safety, including hazard identification and Take 5s.
Aligns with and promotes RME's values and behaviours.
Willingness to learn, develop new skills and actively participate in training and mentoring opportunities.
DESIRABLE
Intermediate understanding of common hydraulic systems.
Certificate IV in Fluid Power.
Basic understanding of electrical systems.
Basic IT skills in MS D365 and Windchill.
Previous experience in a manufacturing, workshop or mechanical environment (including school-based, work experience or apprenticeship placements).
LICENCES
Current QLD Class C Manual Driver's Licence.
Forklift HRWL, or the ability to obtain.
Overhead Gantry Crane Licence, or the ability to obtain.
Dogger HRWL, or the ability to obtain.
