Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registrars

The Opportunity As an ICU Registrar, you will work within a multidisciplinary critical care team managing patients with complex and life‐threatening conditions.
Depending on the hospital and position, your responsibilities and clinical exposure may include:
Assessment and management of critically unwell patients
Complex medical and surgical intensive care presentations
Airway management and ventilatory support
Vascular access and critical care procedures, appropriate to your level of training
Acute resuscitation and management of clinical deterioration
Participation in Medical Emergency Team (MET) and Code Blue responses
Perioperative and postoperative critical care
Collaboration with Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics and other inpatient specialties
Participation in clinical handovers, ward rounds and multidisciplinary discussions
Registrar teaching, clinical education and ongoing professional development
