We are working with an established financial services business based in North Sydney that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Finance Manager to oversee its finance function.
This is a hands‐on position suited to an experienced Senior Finance Manager who is comfortable getting into the detail whilst managing a small finance team.
The role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting, statutory and regulatory requirements, alongside the opportunity to improve existing finance processes.
The Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day finance function, including AP, AR and general ledger.
Manage month-end close, reconciliations and management reporting.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, providing analysis to support business decisions.
Deliver financial performance analysis, including variance analysis, profitability reporting and financial modelling.
Oversee cash flow, liquidity and financial controls.
Lead and support a small finance team.
Manage financial reporting across multiple entities and securitisation structures.
Support statutory, tax and regulatory reporting, including ASIC and APRA requirements.
Oversee annual financial statements and external audit.




Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure reporting accuracy.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and controls.
Partner with senior stakeholders, providing financial insights to support strategic and commercial decisions.
The Requirements:
Strong technical accounting, financial control, reporting and FP&A; experience.
Background within financial services is a must.
Experience managing a small finance team.
Comfortable being hands‐on with reconciliations, journals and month‐end reporting.
Exposure to multi‐entity structures and regulatory reporting would be advantageous.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function.
