We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Café Manager to take ownership of daily operations, lead the team and help drive the continued success of the business.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Café Manager who understands what it takes to run a successful café, from managing the team and maintaining service standards to overseeing rostering, stock ordering and financial performance.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can confidently manage the day-to-day operation while keeping a close eye on labour costs, budgets, sales and overall profitability.

You will take responsibility for organising rosters and timesheets through Deputy, managing invoices and financial administration through Xero, and using your commercial acumen to support forecasting, budgeting and P&L; performance.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable balancing the practical demands of café operations with the financial responsibilities of managing a business.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the cafe', ensuring smooth service and high standards
• Lead, support and coordinate the café team to deliver excellent customer experiences
• Prepare and manage staff rosters, timesheets and labour requirements using Deputy
• Manage stock ordering, supplier relationships and inventory levels
• Monitor sales, labour costs and other operational expenses
• Assist with budgeting,



forecasting and P&L; oversight to support business performance
• Use Xero to manage invoices, financial records and related administration
• Monitor cost control and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability
• Maintain food safety, workplace health and safety, and cleanliness standards
• Manage customer feedback and resolve operational issues professionally
• Ensure the café is well presented, organised and ready for service
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall guest experience

About You:
• Previous experience as a Café Manager is essential
• Proven experience managing the day-to-day operations of a busy café
• Confident using Deputy for rostering and timesheet management
• Practical experience using Xero for invoicing and financial administration
• Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting and P&L; oversight
• Experience managing labour costs, stock ordering and operational expenses
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
• Commercially minded, with a focus on cost control and business performance
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• A hands-on approach and a genuine passion for hospitality
