GemSource Recruitment is working with established concreting contractors across South East Queensland who are looking for experienced, reliable concreting professionals to join their teams.

We're currently recruiting for Experienced Concreters, Concrete Finishers, Leading Hands and Concrete Supervisors, with opportunities available for people who take pride in their workmanship and know their way around a commercial concreting site.

Whether you're an experienced concreter who enjoys being on the tools, a leading hand looking to take the next step, or an established supervisor who knows how to lead a crew, we'd like to hear from you.

Current Opportunities

Experienced Concreters & Concrete Finishers

We're looking for skilled, hands-on concreters who can confidently contribute across commercial concreting projects.

You'll need practical experience with:

- Concrete pouring, placing, screeding, levelling and finishing.

- Concrete finishing techniques, including hand finishing and power trowelling.

- Formwork preparation, stripping and installation.

- Reinforcement placement, mesh and steel fixing.

- Reading basic construction drawings, levels and specifications.

- Preparing surfaces and completing concrete works to quality standards.

- Working safely and productively as part of a concreting crew.

You should be comfortable working independently where required and understand what quality workmanship looks like.

Concrete Leading Hands & Supervisors





We're also looking for experienced concreting professionals who can step into leadership positions and take responsibility for delivering projects and managing crews.

Responsibilities may include:

- Leading and coordinating concreting crews on commercial construction projects.

- Planning daily works, labour requirements, materials and equipment.

- Organising and overseeing concrete pours.

- Reading construction drawings, RL heights and project specifications.

- Supervising formwork, steel fixing, concrete placement and finishing.

- Monitoring workmanship, productivity and site safety.

- Coordinating with builders, site managers and subcontractors.

- Managing concrete deliveries, timesheets and site reporting.

- Troubleshooting site challenges and keeping projects moving.

- Remaining hands-on and supporting the crew when needed.

We're particularly interested in supervisors who have come through the trade and still have strong practical concreting and finishing skills.

What We're Looking For

Across all positions, we're seeking people who bring experience, reliability and a strong work ethic.

Essential Requirements

- Proven experience working on commercial concreting projects.

- Strong hands-on concrete finishing experience is essential.

- Experience in concrete pouring, screeding, levelling, finishing and curing.

- Sound understanding of commercial construction site practices.

- Ability to work safely and follow site specifications.





- Construction White Card.

- Reliable transport and a current driver's licence.

- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

- Pride in your workmanship and commitment to delivering quality results.

For Leading Hand and Supervisor opportunities, demonstrated crew leadership, site coordination and the ability to interpret detailed construction drawings will also be required.

Additional tickets, truck licences and experience operating specialist concreting equipment will be highly regarded.
