About the role

You will operate a 50-tonne excavator to carry out excavation and final trim earthworks using GPS machine control, delivering work to project specifications.

Key responsibilities

- Completing excavation and final trim works to specified levels and tolerances
- Confidently using GPS machine control systems
- Reading and following plans and site instructions
- Completing daily pre-start checks and reporting equipment faults
- Working closely with supervisors and other operators to meet project requirements
- Maintaining a high standard of safety, workmanship and equipment care

About you

- Proven excavator operating experience, including final trim
- Demonstrated GPS machine control experience
- A current driver's licence and White Card
- Current licences,



competencies and certifications relevant to the equipment being operated
- Competencies verified through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
- A current RII qualification for excavator operations and any other applicable earthmoving equipment
- A current 4WD competency if operating vehicles on unsealed roads within the Townsville Field Training Area (TFTA)
- Ability to commit to a 2:1 DIDO roster
- Contactable referees who can verify your operating experience
