An exciting opportunity is available for a proactive, commercially minded Human Resources Advisor to deliver high quality, practical HR advice and operational support for a national building services company based in Moorabbin.

Reporting directly to the Senior HR Advisor and Executive Manager Employee Services, you will provide end-to-end generalist support across the entire employee lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing

- Generalist HR Advisory: Provide advice and operational guidance to leaders and employees in line with company policies, procedures, and industrial requirements
- Employee Relations & Case Management: Coordinate routine workplace and ER matters and assist with grievances and investigations
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Support the recruitment process by drafting job advertisements, liaising with employment agencies, conducting pre-screens/interviews, and facilitating structured onboarding
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Coordinate probationary check-ins, conduct exit interviews, maintain HR administration, and assist with performance management processes
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process efficiencies, assist in policy reviews, and contribute to HR systems optimisation and quality audits




- Safety & Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture

About You

To succeed in this role, you bring a cooperative, "can-do" attitude, sound commercial acumen, and the discretion needed to manage sensitive information with complete confidentiality.

- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources
- 3–5 years of proven experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist role
- Solid understanding of Australian workplace legislation (Fair Work Act, EEO, relevant awards/agreements)
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with a personable, professional approach
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office & HRIS systems, coupled with sharp analytical and written communication skills
- Prior industry experience within Building Services or related technical/trade environments is advantageous but not essential
