Chef De Partie - Wok & Pizza Specialist

Canberra Labor Club is seeking an experienced Chef De Partie to join our busy, high-volume kitchen in Belconnen.

Working in our busy, modern-cuisine restaurant, you will contribute to a high-performing team across lunch and dinner service periods on a 7-day rotating roster, including days, nights and weekends. This is not a traditional back-of-house role. Whilst you are required to work across all stations in the kitchen the emphasis of this role is in our wok and pizza section. Our wok and pizza stations are customer-facing, giving you the opportunity to interact directly with members during service. Strong communication skills, a friendly personality, and a genuine passion for hospitality are essential, as member engagement is a key part of the experience we deliver.

In addition to daily operations serving up to 600 diners per night, our catering department supports the Functions Team by delivering catering services for large-scale events of up to 700 attendees.

What we're looking for:

- Proven experience across all sections of the kitchen with a focus on running wok and pizza sections in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen





- Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery from a recognised institution (Cert IV or equivalent)

- Ability to maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency under pressure

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Experience leading and supporting junior kitchen team members

- Commitment to food safety, hygiene, and workplace standards

- Experience in a club or hotel kitchen is desirable

- Experience in preparation and delivery of function events
