Lead a small OT team. Grow specialist services. Help injured workers regain independence.
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist who enjoys mentoring others, building relationships and delivering practical outcomes?
Recovery Partners is looking for an Occupational Therapist to lead our small Victorian OT team. You’ll combine clinical practice with team leadership, quality assurance and service development, working closely with referring case managers, suppliers, injured workers and the broader Recovery Partners team.
Whether you’re an established Team Leader or a Senior OT ready to take the next step, this is an opportunity to shape our OT services within an established, female-founded national business.
The opportunity
You’ll coordinate referrals, support complex assessments and ensure reports provide clear, clinically justified recommendations. You’ll also strengthen relationships with OTs and referring case managers, helping expand Recovery Partners’ OT services across Victoria.
The role involves local travel across metropolitan Victoria.
What you’ll do
- Allocate and coordinate referrals, balancing team capacity, expertise and service timeframes.
- Lead and mentor other OTs, providing practical guidance, constructive feedback and support with complex assessments.
- Maintain report quality, completing quality assurance reviews of Household Help Services Needs Assessments (HHSNA) and Equipment Prescription Forms (EPF), ensuring recommendations are clear, clinically justified and aligned with WorkSafe requirements.
- Review files and monitor progress, helping your team identify barriers, meet timeframes and deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with referring case managers, providing timely updates, explicit advice and responsive service.
- Collaborate with suppliers, arranging equipment trials, exploring suitable options and coordinating recommended equipment.
- Work alongside injured workers, helping them participate in assessments, understand recommendations and achieve functional outcomes.
- Build professional relationships with OTs, strengthen referral networks and identify opportunities to expand our services.
- Collaborate with the broader Recovery Partners team, sharing expertise and contributing to improvements in service delivery.
What you’ll bring
- Qualifications in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
- 3–5 years’ experience in occupational rehabilitation.
- Experience working within the WorkSafe Victoria scheme—essential.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and case management skills.
- Experience producing clear reports with practical, well-supported recommendations.
- Confidence building relationships with case managers, suppliers, injured workers and colleagues.
- Excellent organisation, communication and negotiation skills.
- A supportive approach to mentoring others and a commitment to high-quality clinical practice.
- An interest in building professional networks and growing OT services.
Desirable
- Approval as a WorkSafe Victoria Framework Occupational Therapist and experience delivering Framework OT assessments.
- Previous experience in team leadership, supervision or mentoring.
- Comcare accreditation.
You don’t need to have held a Team Leader title to apply. Senior OTs who enjoy supporting colleagues, sharing their expertise and improving practice are encouraged to apply.
Why you’ll enjoy working with us
You’ll be supported to grow your career while helping others grow theirs.
At Recovery Partners, our vision is to be a great place to work with great people. We’re proud to have ranked among Australia’s Best Places to Work in 2025 and achieved Great Place to Work certification for seven years.
