Regional Airport Management Services (RAMS) is a quick growing division of Multi Services Solutions Pty Ltd (“MSS-Group”), a privately owned company operating from offices in Australia and New Zealand.
RAMS provides airport management services to regional airport owners. Our team has over 75 years’ experience in airports and we’d love to see solutions-based thinkers join us in delivering airport operations and supervisory functions at regional airports.
About the role
RAMS is currently recruiting an Airport Operations Officer for undertaking ARO functions and maintenance of Marble Bar Airport, ensuring compliance with the relevant standards and operating procedures.
Marble Bar Airport has existing jet services from Perth, is currently undergoing a terminal expansion ahead of increased jet services early in 2027 for local mining companies.
The role requires you to live in Marble Bar, but DIDO from Port Hedland, Newman will be considered for the right applicant. (There is potential for the role to change to a 2 and 2 FIFO roster in the future with the ability to fly to and from Perth, the timing of this change is not clear at this point in time). You will be provided a company vehicle, furnished housing in Marble Bar, mobile phone, laptop & uniform.
What you’ll be doing
- Runway serviceability inspections and reporting.
- Wildlife management control.
- Airfield access monitoring and security.
- Monitoring and allocation of parking.
- Maintenance of the airfield including sweeping, mowing, and maintenance of PAPI’s, IWDI’s, pavements and drainage.
- Liaison with airlines, ground handler and the client.
Skills and Experience
If you have 3+ years operational experience airside at a regional airport, we’d love to speak to you.
You’ll need to:
- have completed ARO/WSO & AROC qualifications and hold & maintain (or be able to hold) an ASIC.
- basic vehicle and minor plant operation experience.
- basic airside pavements, drainage and lighting system maintenance.
- have problem solving skill for work in remote locations.
Having aircraft refuelling and ground handling experience is also desirable.
Qualifications
- Relevant ARO/WSO qualification acceptable to CASA
- Hold an Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Must maintain a vehicle licence for operating equipment at the Airport
- Must be willing to relocate to Marble Bar initially, or travel from Port Hedland or Newman.
