About the role

Blackcoat is a premium boutique winery located in the rolling hills of Gippsland, Victoria, focusing on producing elegant, cool-climate wines. We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Sales Manager to lead Victorian wine sales activities and help build the foundations for future expansion throughout Australia's east coast. Initially focused on Victoria, the successful candidate will develop relationships across premium on-premise, independent retail and key trade channels. As the business grows, the role will expand to include strategic responsibility for New South Wales and Queensland.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and execute sales strategies across Victoria to drive growth and deliver against sales targets

- Increase distribution in premium restaurants, wine bars, hotels and independent retailers

- Identify and secure new wine trade opportunities

- Manage and grow existing customer relationships

- Represent Blackcoat at trade tastings, consumer events and industry functions

- Act as a passionate ambassador for the Blackcoat brand





- Work closely with management to develop market awareness and brand positioning

- Assist with wine club growth and direct-to-consumer initiatives

- Identify emerging opportunities across east coast markets

- Develop market entry plans for New South Wales and Queensland

About you

- Proven premium wine industry sales experience

- Established wine sales relationships across all wine trade channels

- A proactive, self-driven approach with strong organisational skills

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills

- Current driver's licence

- WSET or equivalent wine qualifications

- RSA certification
