A Deployment Strategist usually takes a customer from signed deal to working setup, which means scoping needs, configuring the product, running pilots and training users. Strong candidates combine project management with hands on technical comfort and clear communication with operations teams. At a company building AI voice and email agents for supply chain teams, that means understanding how calls and email flows run in a real business and turning messy processes into a working deployment.

How it fits the AI era

Deployment work shifts toward designing and supervising AI agents that handle calls and email, then checking their output and fixing gaps. The human parts stay central: reading a customer's operations, deciding what should be automated, and earning trust when something goes wrong. The role sits close to where AI meets daily business work, which is where most of the practical judgment is needed.

How it builds AI experience

This role builds hands on experience configuring AI voice and email agents, testing them against real call and email scenarios, and judging where automation holds up. It also grows skill in explaining AI behavior to operations teams and turning their feedback into better setups. That mix of applied AI tuning and customer facing deployment is valuable and hard to get elsewhere.

Worth showing

- Process mapping skills
- Hands on with AI tools
- Explicit stakeholder communication
- Supply chain operations knowledge
