About the Role

As a Stock Controller / Registration Clerk, you will play a critical role in managing vehicle inventory and registration activities across the BYD dealership network. Working closely with dealership teams, manufacturers, transport providers, registration authorities and internal stakeholders, you will ensure accurate vehicle processing from arrival through to customer delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing vehicle inventory and stock records across multiple locations
- Processing vehicle arrivals, transfers, registrations and deliveries
- Preparing and submitting vehicle registration applications and associated documentation
- Liaising with state registration authorities to ensure timely and accurate vehicle registrations
- Verifying customer, vehicle and compliance documentation prior to registration processing
- Maintaining registration records, registration certificates and number plate allocations
- Maintaining accurate vehicle status updates within dealership management systems
- Coordinating vehicle movements with transport providers and dealerships
- Monitoring stock availability and vehicle pipeline reporting
- Processing manufacturer invoices and vehicle documentation
- Reconciling stock and registration records and investigating discrepancies




- Assisting with vehicle ordering and inventory forecasting
- Supporting dealerships with stock and registration-related enquiries
- Ensuring compliance with internal processes, manufacturer requirements and state registration regulations
- Assisting with reporting and administrative activities to support dealership operations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous experience in automotive stock control, registrations, administration, logistics or inventory management
- Knowledge of vehicle registration processes and regulatory requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Current driver's licence
- Australian working rights

Highly Regarded

- Previous dealership stock control and registration clerk experience
- Registration accreditation
- Experience using ERA or other dealership management systems
- Knowledge of vehicle registration processes and manufacturer systems
