About the Opportunity

Xenco is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of infrastructure packages for an underground mining project in Queensland. Working closely with project and construction teams, you will provide technical and project coordination support across procurement, contractor mobilisation and infrastructure execution, helping ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Support tender evaluations and procurement activities for infrastructure packages.
- Review contractor procedures, technical documentation and work practices.
- Coordinate contractor mobilisation and respond to technical queries.
- Monitor project progress, maintain reporting and support project controls.
- Assist with quality assurance activities and communicate design changes to stakeholders.




- Contribute to daily and weekly reporting, while maintaining strong safety and environmental standards.

About You

- Tertiary qualification in Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar project engineering role.
- Experience in contractor management and project coordination.
- Exposure to project controls and underground hard-rock mining
- Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- A proactive, safety-focused approach with the ability to work autonomously and deliver results under pressure.
