An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Midwifery Educator to join a close-knit maternity team in Newcastle, NSW.

This permanent opportunity offers flexibility from 0.8-1.0 FTE, with the opportunity to support the development of student midwives, graduate midwives and experienced clinical staff across a diverse maternity service.

You'll play a pivotal role in promoting evidence-based practice, strengthening clinical capability and delivering high-quality education across Antenatal, Postnatal, Birthing Suite and Special Care Nursery.

Essential Requirements

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Minimum 6 years of post-registration midwifery experience
- Recent clinical experience in a Birthing Suite environment
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training (TAE), or currently working towards this qualification
- Experience teaching and supervising students and early-career midwives
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and policy development
