Site Lead / Leading Hand – Commercial Construction & Remediation

We’re looking for aSite Lead / Leading Handwho is a genuine construction all-rounder with the drive and capability to take ownership on site.

You don't need to have spent years working as a Site Manager.Attitude, initiative, practical ability and willingness to develop are just as important to us as years of experience.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll help run projects on the ground while still beingactively involved in getting the work completed. One day you might be coordinating subcontractors and dealing with a client; the next you could be setting out works, organising materials or jumping on the tools to keep the project moving.

You’ll coordinate trades and subcontractors, manage day-to-day site activities, organise materials and deliveries, maintain safety and quality standards and work closely with the Director and project team.

Our projects are primarily focused oncommercial, remediation and selected residential works sub $2Mthroughout Sydney, with our Business based in Parramatta/Hills District.

This role would particularly suit atrade-qualified carpenter or capable construction all-rounder who is ready to step into greater site responsibility, rather than someone looking for a traditional management only position.

There is genuine opportunity todevelop into a larger role within RWC as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate day-to-day site activities

- Coordinate subcontractors and multiple trades

- Keep projects moving in accordance with programme requirements

- Manage materials, deliveries and site logistics

- Be hands-on with carpentry, trade assistance and general site works when required

- Assist with inductions, SWMS, site safety and compliance

- Monitor workmanship and maintain high-quality standards

- Identify and resolve site issues before they impact programme

- Maintain clean, safe and organised sites

- Communicate professionally with subcontractors, clients and stakeholders

- Work closely with the Director and project team on project delivery

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks ahead and is prepared to get involved.

Current & Upcoming Works

Our pipeline includes:

- Commercial bathroom and amenities refurbishments

- Office fit-outs and upgrades

- Structural and building remediation

- Building maintenance and minor works

- Selected residential upgrades and construction works

Projects vary in size and complexity, soadaptability and a broad construction skillset are significant.

About You

- Trade background, ideallycarpentry qualified

- Someone ready tostep up from the tools into greater site responsibility

- Practical construction knowledge and strong problem-solving ability

- Initiative and the confidence to make decisions on site





- Ability to coordinate subcontractors and multiple trades

- Willingness to remain hands-on and help wherever required

- Good understanding of WHS and site compliance

- Strong communication and organisational skills

- Ability to read drawings, scopes and construction documentation

- Certificate IV in Building & Construction advantageous,but not essential

- EWP over 11madvantageous but not essential

- Current ABN – sole trader or company

- Current trade/public liability insurance

- White Card

- Own reliable trade vehicle and tools

- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
