At Elio’s Panino Italiano, we do three things exceptionally well: killer panini, top-tier coffee, and treating our locals like family.

We're a fast-paced, Italian inspired cafe that's growing busier by the week. We're building something special, and we're looking for an experienced, passionate and driven barista who wants to be part of that growth.

We're not looking for someone who can simply make a coffee and stand behind a machine. We want a genuine gun on the coffee machine who takes pride in their craft, thrives under pressure, and has the speed, confidence and determination to help drive our front-of-house operations.

Coffee is your number one priority, but being a strong all-rounder is essential.

The Role

You'll be taking the lead on coffee while helping keep the entire front of house running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Exceptional Coffee Skills

· Dialling in espresso and maintaining consistent coffee quality throughout service.

· Producing impeccable espresso shots and perfectly textured milk.

· Handling high-volume coffee orders quickly, efficiently and consistently.

· Maintaining speed and accuracy during busy periods without compromising quality.

· Keeping the coffee station clean, organised and running efficiently.

· Taking pride in every coffee that leaves the machine.

· Front of House Operations

· Delivering friendly, confident and professional customer service.

· Taking orders, operating the POS and handling payments.

· Running food, clearing tables and keeping the cafe presentable.

· Restocking supplies and maintaining a clean, organised front of house.

· Communicating effectively with the kitchen and the rest of the team.

· Stepping in wherever needed to keep service moving.

What We're Looking For

· An Experienced Barista Who Knows Their Stuff

· You have a minimum of three years' experience in fast-paced hospitality,



with strong barista skills and the confidence to manage a busy coffee service.

· Speed, Precision and Consistency

· You can handle a rush without getting flustered. You understand that speed matters, but quality and consistency are non-negotiable.

· A Robust Work Ethic

· You take initiative, stay productive and don't need someone constantly looking over your shoulder. You see what needs doing and get it done.

· A Positive Personality you're outgoing, approachable and confident with customers. You enjoy building relationships with regulars and contributing to a positive team environment.

· A Desire to Grow

· Our business is getting busier by the week, and we want someone who is excited about that. We're looking for a person with ambition, determination and the drive to develop their skills and grow with the company.

· A True All-Rounder

· Coffee is your main strength, but you're equally happy to jump onto the floor, run food, clear tables, restock or help wherever the team needs you.

Pay: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour
