C&C; Civil & Mining Construction are seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join our construction team in the Mackay & Coalfields region in Queensland. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to lead and oversee civil construction projects in a fast-paced, qualified environment.
The Civil
Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position is based on-site in the Mackay & Coalfields region.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate construction teams on-site ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications and safety regulations
- Manage schedules, labour, equipment, materials and project progress
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor risk management tools
- Monitor quality standards and ensure all construction work meets the required specifications and contractual obligations
- Extensive experience in Carpentry / Concrete / Formwork / Steel fixing
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors and team members
- Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, timesheets, material logs and site documentation
- Oversee equipment and material management to ensure efficient use of resources
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 10 years experience in civil construction supervision or a related supervisory role within the construction industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing construction teams and delivering projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, safety standards and relevant legislation
- A valid Construction Induction Card (White Card) and S123 & G2 qualifications
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively
- A commitment to workplace safety and a thorough understanding of risk management principles
- A valid drivers licence
- Preferred: Experience in mining related civil construction or infrastructure projects in Queensland
