Community Facilities Team Member

About us:

As the state’s largest rural council, the Coorong District Council offers unique employment opportunities that contribute to the betterment of our community. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Community Facilities Team Member to join our Community Facilities Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining and upgrading our assets, ensuring that our parks, gardens, and public facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for all.

About the position:

- Perform maintenance on town roads, footways, reserves, buildings, and community facilities across the Council district
- Operate various plant and equipment, following safety protocols
- Record daily activities and maintenance tasks for costing purposes
- Work cooperatively within a team while also being self-motivated

About you:

- A qualification in Horticulture or equivalent or demonstrated experience in a similar field
- Experience operating plant and equipment
- Robust interpersonal and problem-solving skills




- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and adhering to safety protocols
- Construction Induction Certification (White Card)
- Current MR class drivers’ licence
