Our Federal client is seeking an experienced Data Conversion Specialist / Data Analyst to support the migration of their system from its existing in-house developed application to a recent cloud-based platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, mapping, cleansing and transforming data from the legacy system to ensure accurate and reliable migration to the new platform. Experience working with financial data, including budgets, financial modelling, forecasting and projections, would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities include:

1. Data Analysis & Mapping: Analyse existing data structures, identify data relationships and develop detailed source-to-target data mappings between the legacy system and the new platform.
2. Data Transformation & Conversion: Define and document data translation rules, transformation logic and conversion specifications to support accurate migration of data between systems.
3. Data Cleansing & Validation: Identify and resolve data quality issues, inconsistencies, duplicates and missing information. Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
4. Error Reporting & Resolution: Develop data validation checks, exception reports and error-handling processes to identify,



investigate and resolve issues arising during data conversion.
5. Financial Data Analysis: Work with business stakeholders to understand and map financial information, including research project budgets, financial models, forecasts, projections and related financial data.
6. Testing & Stakeholder Engagement: Support data migration testing, reconciliation and user acceptance testing (UAT). Work closely with business users, technical teams and project stakeholders to resolve data conversion issues.

Skills & Experience:

- Proven experience in data conversion, migration, analysis and source-to-target data mapping.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience defining data transformation rules, data cleansing processes and reconciliation procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand complex data structures and business rules.
- Experience working with financial data, particularly budgets, forecasting, financial modelling or project financials, would be highly regarded.
- Previous experience in higher education, research management systems or large-scale enterprise system migrations would be advantageous.
