Steel Frames Direct is seeking an experienced and motivated Detailer / Estimator to join our team at our Deer Park facility.

We specialise in the design, engineering, manufacturing and installation of light gauge steel framing systems for residential and commercial construction projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and review light gauge steel framing designs and detailed shop drawings.

Carry out general reviews of BIM models to identify discrepancies, clashes and design coordination issues.

Prepare material take-offs, estimates and quotations.

Review architectural and structural documentation.

Liaise with engineers, builders and internal manufacturing teams.

Assist with design coordination and production documentation.

Ensure drawings and models are accurate and ready for manufacturing.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience in steel framing detailing and estimating.

Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.

Experience working with BIM modelling software.

Vertex BD experience highly regarded.





Understanding of light gauge steel framing systems.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

OVERSEAS APPLICANTS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED IF THEY ARE RELOCATING TO MELBOURNE AND CAN WORK ON-SITE AT OUR DEER PARK FACILITY.
