About the Role

As a DoT Licensing Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting vehicle inspections in accordance with Department of Transport requirements and ensuring all vehicles meet the necessary roadworthiness and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct Department of Transport vehicle inspections and assessments
- Perform inspections on light and heavy vehicles to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Accurately complete inspection reports and documentation
- Liaise professionally with customers regarding inspection outcomes and requirements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of licensing and inspection regulations
- Work closely with the workshop team to facilitate efficient vehicle processing
- Uphold workplace safety and company standards at all times

Essential Requirements

- Current Department of Transport Vehicle Examiner/Inspector Accreditation (or eligibility to obtain)




- Recognised Light Vehicle Mechanical Certification
- Recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Certification
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
- Current driver's license HR unrestricted as a minimum
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Qualifications

- Previous experience as an Authorised Inspection Station (AIS) Inspector
- Experience with commercial trucks, buses and light commercial vehicles
- MR or HR license
