About the Role

We are a well-established and respected company in the fire protection and building services industry, currently seeking an experienced and motivated Licensed Electrician to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with experience in fire protection systems who is looking for a long-term career with opportunities for professional development and progression.

The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical installation, maintenance, fault-finding, repairs and rectification works associated with fire protection systems across residential, commercial and industrial properties.

The role involves working with fire detection and alarm systems, Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems (EWIS), emergency and exit lighting, and associated electrical equipment, ensuring all works comply with relevant Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, repairs and upgrades of fire protection systems.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in fire detection and alarm systems, EWIS, emergency lighting and associated equipment.
- Install, replace and commission electrical components and fire system equipment.
- Undertake electrical testing and troubleshooting to ensure system functionality and compliance.
- Perform defect rectification works identified during routine inspections and maintenance.
- Assist with fire system upgrades, modifications and retrofit projects.
- Prepare accurate service reports,



testing records and compliance documentation.
- Record completed works using web-based service platforms such as Uptick or similar.
- Liaise professionally with clients, supervisors and other team members.
- Attend emergency call-outs and provide on-call support when required.
- Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Requirements

- Current NSW Electrical Licence (essential).
- Previous experience working with fire detection and alarm systems, EWIS and emergency lighting.
- Strong electrical fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- White Card.
- Relevant industry certifications and training.
- FPA accreditation (highly regarded).
- Experience using Uptick or similar service management software (desirable).
