About the Role

As our Floating Assistant Store Manager, you'll provide flexible, hands-on support across our eight WA Pool Warehouse retail locations, working at different stores from day to day depending on the needs of the business.

Rather than being permanently based at one location or having responsibility for managing a particular store, you'll work alongside our Store Managers and retail teams, providing valuable relief coverage, assisting during busy trading periods and helping maintain excellent customer service and store operations.

Your role will include covering Store Managers' rostered days off, supporting stores during staff absences and providing additional assistance wherever it's needed most.

No two days will necessarily be the same! One day you could be assisting our team north of the river, and the next supporting a busy location south of the river.

You'll have the opportunity to work with different team members, meet a diverse range of customers and develop valuable retail leadership experience while sharing your pool industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide flexible retail support across our eight Perth locations, both north and south of the river.
- Cover Store Managers' rostered days off, annual leave and other absences as required.
- Work alongside Store Managers and retail teams to assist with day-to-day store operations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and practical advice on pool care, chemicals and equipment.




- Conduct pool water testing and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Assist during busy trading periods, weekends and peak seasonal demand.
- Support sales performance, merchandising, stock management and store presentation.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and daily store administration.
- Share your knowledge and experience with other team members.
- Promote our mobile pool care services, equipment installations and retail product range.
- Help maintain consistent customer service and operational standards across all locations.

About You

You don't need to have previously held a formal management position. We're happy to consider applicants with the right industry knowledge, attitude and willingness to learn.

Highly Regarded

- Previous experience working in a pool and spa retail store.
- Pool servicing, cleaning or maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of pool water chemistry and water testing.
- Experience with pool equipment, pumps, chlorinators and filtration systems.
- Pool equipment installation or pool building experience.
- Retail sales, customer service or team leadership experience.
- A genuine interest in developing your career within retail management.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:
- Hold a current, valid driver's licence and have reliable transport.
- Be willing and able to travel between our eight Perth retail locations, both north and south of the river.
- Be available to work weekends,



including Saturdays and Sundays, as required.
- Be comfortable working at different store locations from day to day, depending on business requirements.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Be reliable, organised, proactive and willing to support the team wherever needed.
- Enjoy working with different people and adapting to different store environments.
