The Breathe Accounting Graduate Program gives you the opportunity to gain real-world experience, develop practical accounting skills and learn alongside an experienced team in our Bunbury office.

Our Graduate Accountant Program is designed for people who are ready to develop their accounting career, whether you are in your second or third year of university, a recent graduate, or someone bringing transferable qualifications, skills or relevant experience from a related field.

Through structured rotations across accounting, bookkeeping and administration, you’ll gain practical experience while working alongside people who will help you build on what you already know.

Our Graduate Program will help you acquire the technical skills and professional confidence you need to become a successful Accountant. You’ll learn by supporting, shadowing and working alongside experienced colleagues, while contributing to real work for real clients.

Key responsibilities include
- Participate in rotations across administration, bookkeeping and accounting

- Complete tasks in line with the Graduate Accountant Competency Framework and individual Competency Tracker

- Assist with workflow management and gradually build skills and confidence

- Respond to initial client enquiries, provide information and build positive client relationships

- Provide clients with accurate and helpful advice and guidance

- Preparation of client accounts, including bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations, processing of payroll and superannuation batches, finalisation of Single Touch Payroll, completion of Taxable Annual Payments Reporting (TPAR), preparation and lodgement of payroll tax returns and the processing and lodgement of Superannuation Guarantee Charge statements

- Prepare income tax returns, financial statements, activity statements and other required financial reports

You will start by building a strong foundation in bookkeeping, gaining practical experience across a range of bookkeeping and accounting processes. As your knowledge and confidence develop, you'll have the opportunity to take on increasingly complex accounting responsibilities and grow into a broader accounting role.
