### Help Create Grandfriends: Connecting Generations Through Joy

Do you love seeing the joy that happens when young children and older people come together? We do too!

That's why we're looking for a warm, friendly, and enthusiastic volunteer to help support our regular kindergarten visits with aged care residents. These special visits create wonderful opportunities for two generations to connect through stories , songs , games , craft , conversation , and plenty of smiles and laughter .

As a volunteer, you'll help everyone feel welcome and included. You might sit alongside a resident and child during an activity, encourage conversation, lend a hand with a craft project, support residents to participate, or simply join in the fun. While no teaching or aged care experience is required, this role may particularly suit a retired teacher or teacher's aide.

We're looking for someone who is:

-Warm, patient, and encouraging

-Comfortable around both older people and young children

-Happy to join in with simple activities, songs, games, and conversation

-Positive at noticing when someone might need a little extra encouragement to participate

-Available Tuesdays from 1:00pm to 2:30pm

-Reliable and genuinely enjoys bringing people together

Above all, we're looking for someone who understands that sometimes the smallest moments create the biggest smiles. That's what our Grandfriends Program is all about.

If you'd love to help residents and kindergarten children build friendships, share laughter,

and create some very special memories together, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note: Volunteer interviews and Orientation must take place on a weekday during business hours.
