/n We are looking for our next Full-time Hotel Accountant to join the ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street team. /n Due to an internal promotion this rare role has come up and reports directly to the Financial Controller. It is supported by a Senior Finance Officer. Given our unique hotel composition, this role is not your typical Hotel Accountant role and is heavily operationally involved! /n Main responsibilities include: /n /n

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities across the hotel.

/n

- Process and oversee accounts payable.

/n

- Manage the hotel's fortnightly payroll and chair payroll meetings.

/n

- Complete bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.

/n

- Prepare daily and monthly financial reports and information.

/n

- Monitor outstanding accounts and support credit control processes.

/n

- Prepare and post month-end journals and assist with month-end close and reporting requirements.

/n

- Assist the Financial Controller with budget preparation and audit requests.

/n

- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

/n

- Partner with Department Managers to identify opportunities to improve departmental and hotel profitability.

/n

- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and efficiencies.

/n





- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Accor policies and internal controls.

/n Qualifications/n

/n

/n We're looking for someone who brings: /n /n

- Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

/n

- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.

/n

- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

/n

- A solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

/n

- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.

/n

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build solid relationships across the hotel.

/n

- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

/n

- A proactive attitude and genuine interest in developing a career in finance.

/n

- Previous hotel or hospitality finance experience (preferred).

/n

- Experience with Opera Cloud, Zambion, PurchasePlus, Micros Symphony or SunSystems Cloud (preferred)./n This role is not available for sponsorship. Applicants must have full Australian working rights. /n /n
