Montgomery Advisory is partnering with a leading national law firm to recruit an Insolvency & Restructuring Lawyer to join its growing Sydney team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated domestic and international restructuring and insolvency matters, advising a diverse range of stakeholders on complex financial distress, corporate restructures and formal insolvency appointments. You will join a highly regarded team offering high-quality work, close collaboration with experienced practitioners and genuine opportunities for career progression.

The Role

You will work across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters, including:

- Corporate restructures, turnarounds and distressed transactions
- Formal insolvency appointments and administrations
- Advising debtors, creditors, sponsors and insolvency practitioners
- Complex domestic and cross-border insolvency matters
- Distressed acquisitions and corporate workouts
- Restructuring strategies and insolvency-related disputes
- Negotiating commercial solutions for clients experiencing financial distress

The role offers exposure to high-profile matters and sophisticated clients,



with the prospect to develop your technical expertise and take on increasing responsibility within an established practice.

About You

You will have

- 3+ years' post-admission experience in insolvency and restructuring law
- Experience in contentious and/or non-contentious corporate insolvency matters
- Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and sound commercial judgement
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a team
- A genuine interest in developing your career in restructuring and insolvency
