Australasian Music Supplies (AMS) is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Internal Sales Representative to join our Melbourne Head Office sales team. This is an opportunity to work with some great products and brands in the Australian music industry while building strong relationships with an established network of music retailers.

Australasian Music Supplies (AMS) is one of Australia's leading musical instrument and accessory wholesalers, based in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. Established for more than 48 years, AMS represents a portfolio of recognised and exclusive brands and has built its reputation on strong industry relationships, product knowledge and a high level of customer service and support.

The Role

Working as part of our Internal Sales team, you will manage and support an established customer base of music retailers while identifying opportunities to grow sales across our range of musical instruments and accessories. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Building solid relationships with existing customers
- Handling inbound sales and product enquiries
- Proactively contacting customers regarding products, promotions and sales opportunities
- Providing product information and recommendations
- Processing and following up customer orders and enquiries
- Identifying opportunities to grow sales within existing accounts
- Supporting new product launches and promotional campaigns
- Working closely with our Sales,



Purchasing and Warehouse teams
- Maintaining the high level of customer service AMS is known for

About You

We're looking for someone who is comfortable talking to customers, enjoys sales and has a genuine interest in musical instruments.

You will ideally have

- Previous experience in sales, account management, retail or customer service
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to sales
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Confidence working with customers by phone and email
- An ability to identify and develop sales opportunities
- Knowledge of musical instruments and accessories
- The ability to play and demonstrate a musical instrument

Previous experience within the musical instrument or music retail industry would be highly regarded, but we're equally interested in candidates with strong sales ability, good product knowledge and the right attitude.
