FLAMES 23 PTY LTD T/A SMOKEY FLAMES BURGERS AND GRILL Flames Burgers and Grill is seeking multiple Cooks to prepare, season and cook menu items in a busy restaurant kitchen. You’ll help maintain consistent food quality, work safely and hygienically, and contribute to smooth kitchen service.

responsibilities Check ingredients and food supplies for quality and freshness.

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items using grills, ovens and other kitchen equipment. Regulate cooking temperatures and times to meet food quality and safety standards. Season, portion and plate food, adding sauces and garnishes as required.

Store food safely in temperature-controlled areas and label items appropriately. Prepare food to accommodate customer dietary requirements where possible. Keep kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils clean and orderly.

Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to support timely and consistent service. Qualification & experience AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, including appropriate on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery,



or an equivalent recognised qualification.

Minimum one year of relevant full-time experience as a Cook or in a similar commercial kitchen role. Demonstrated experience preparing, seasoning and cooking a variety of food in a restaurant, café, catering, hotel or commercial kitchen. Sound knowledge of commercial cooking techniques and safe food preparation practices.

Ability to operate and regulate ovens, grills and other commercial kitchen equipment. Positive understanding of food safety, hygiene, sanitation and temperature-control requirements. Ability to maintain quality and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Strong communication, teamwork, organisation and time-management skills. Ability and willingness to work a minimum of 38 ordinary hours per week, with reasonable additional hours as required by operational needs.
